🔹 Composition (per ml):

  • Terlipressin Acetate (equivalent to Terlipressin 0.1 mg)

🔹 Indications / Uses:

  • Acute Variceal Bleeding (esophageal varices)

  • Hepatorenal Syndrome (HRS) Type 1

  • Septic Shock (as supportive therapy)

🔹 Mode of Action:

  • Vasoconstrictor effect: Terlipressin is a synthetic analogue of vasopressin that reduces portal venous pressure.

  • Controls bleeding: Contracts splanchnic blood vessels to control bleeding from varices.

  • Improves renal perfusion: Increases blood supply to the kidneys in HRS.
